Can’t make it to NYC for Fashion Week? Don’t worry, OK!’s got you covered! Today we headed over to check out bebe runway show for a sneak peek at the designer’s spring collection and loved every minute!
SHOW: bebe (at Style 360 at the Metropolitan Pavilion)
WHEN: Sept. 15, 2010
WHO: Denise Richards, Louise Roe, Kat Deluna, NBA stars Chris Bosh and Ron Artest
FASHION: Forget those short, tight, bright bebe dresses loitering in the back of your closet ladies, because it’s time for an overhaul. Spring/Summer 2011 is all about flowing, feminine pieces; think floaty silk dresses with asymmetrical handkerchief hems and neat rompers in a delicate palette of pretty blush pinks and glamorous pale gold. Fringing was another key trend, appearing on everything from khaki bikini tops to suede days bags and a striking collar-style necklace. Another stand-out piece was a fitted black lace blazer, a smart lightweight alternative to those essential summer cardigans. Of course, no bebe show would be complete without the shoes. Models strutted in sky-high platform ankle-strap sandals in nude, tan and black.
BEAUTY: Showing off the power of a great blow-dry, models wore their hair long, glossy and center-parted with just a light curl at the ends. Faces were fresh and dewy with bronze eye shadow and peachy lips complimenting the colors of the collection.
COLOR/OVERHEARD: The line to get inside the show continued to snake around the block well after the show’s 6 p.m. start time leaving the front row’s large team of editors from Elle magazine and Plain Jane host Louise Roe with some unexpected time to kill. Louise – who also hosted the show’s Stoli-sponsored after-party – tapped away on her Blackberry before snapping a few photos of her favorite looks from the collection.
