FASHION: Celebrating his 30th anniversary in the fashion biz, Michael Kors went back to where it all began with a thumping mix of Donna Summer’s disco classic, “I Feel Love." The collection gave a strong nod to hedonistic nights at NYC’s early 80s super club, Studio 54, with elegantly-draped silky jersey dresses and jump suits in blush and smokey grays. Sheer chiffons, glittering lurex and crystal-encrusted bodysuits were overtly sexy, while luxurious furs added texture, with long-length gilets, cropped jackets and event cross-body messenger bags. Adding to the accessories and bringing the collection bang up to date were wide chrome chokers and obi-style leather belts.

COLOR/OVERHEARD: Top stylist Robert Verdi described the impressively star-studded front row as “all classic Kors girls who I think inspire him” and admitted it was his favorite show of the week. “It looked like Bianca Jagger was going to the office,” he explained. “Michael carries the torch of American fashion worldwide and what women in America want is clothes that take you from day to night, from work to weekend, that always feel sexy… he always does something with familiar pieces to make them feel fresh and new… Michael’s the quintessential American fashion dream!”
