Sesame Street Meets High Fashion in New Photo Shoot

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of legendary kids' TV show Sesame Street, the folks at Harper's Bazaar paired up some of the show's most memorable characters with some of the biggest names in high fashion for a one-of-a-kind photo shoot. In this preview of the September issue, Oscar de la Renta talks shop with Oscar the Grouch while Vera Wang gets her inspiration from Abby Cadabby.

"I feel that way no matter what I wear. I just like dressing in a skirt. It’s got good ventilation," Abby says of her penchant for fairy skirts.

Says Mr. The Grouch about his influence on fashion trends, "I invented grunge! It’s a look I’ve been sporting for years!"
