April 29th was #DenimDay, a campaign run for the past 16 years in Los Angeles and New York to encourage people to wear denim with a purpose: to support survivors of sexual assault and raise awareness (visit Denim Day for more info). Since this spring has been all about denim, I thought no better time than now to hit one of my favorite ways to wear denim: A great denim dress or a-line skirt.

The rules for wearing denim seem to change every year, but a good quality dress that fits you like a glove and makes you feel both feminine and cool, will never go out of style. Offered in many flattering shapes, these dresses work well with other colors and prints, and are wearable from the start of spring all the way through fall, making this denim trend very practical.  And best of all, there is no need to feel that you are falling victim to what everyone else is wearing because these dresses offer a simple backdrop to your fave accessories, giving you the opportunity to really create a look of your own.  Whether you are going for tough and edgy, preppy and sweet, sexy and glam or even sleek and simple, there are limitless ways to rock denim dresses in style.  Here are some of my favorites in stores right now.
