Adam Levine Yells Something to Shakira in Spanish—Here's What He Said!
April 2 2013, Published 2:00 p.m. ET
Adam Levine had his ears wide open while Karina Iglesias auditioned on The Voice, but it took him to the very last second to turn his chair around for the Spanish singer. Everyone was surprised when Shakira remained facing the audience, but she immediately regretted her decision and verbally berrated herself in Spanish. Her comments didn't stop even when Adam tried to persuade Karina to be on his team, so he told her to 'shut up' in her native tongue! It was all in good fun, though, as Adam tweeted afterward, "in my defense, @shakira did tell me that cállate means I love you." Watch it all go down in the video up top!
