 Few films have been more personal for Angelina Jolie than directing First They Killed My Father. The longtime actress brought everything she’d learned about filmmaking to the Netflix production and was thrilled when her movie got glowing reviews and a Golden Globe nomination.

However, the drama many predicted would be hard to beat at the Oscars didn’t even get nominated, and sources say Angie’s taking the snub very badly. “This was her passion project, she’s never worked so hard on a movie.”
