Have you ever wondered what it would be like without Christmas? The cast of Baby Daddy explored that question on the show’s Christmas episode – and they discovered that presents and candy canes weren’t the only things they would miss!
The Baby Daddy cast – Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Tahj Mowry, Chelsea Kane, Derek Theler and Melissa Peterman – chatted with OKMagazine.com at ABC Family’s 25 Days Of Christmas Winter Wonderland event about everything from the holiday episode to who would win in an ice skating race.
“It’s kind of a play on It’s a Wonderful Life,” Mowry explained of the Christmas episode. “And Ben is not into Christmas at all and sort of wishes it away.”
His costar Bilodeau continued, “And with that he wishes away Emma because he had met Emma’s mom at a Christmas party. It’s what our lives and what our character’s lives would be like without Emma around and we’re all just a little bit worse off.”
From Theler's character Danny being kicked off the New York Rangers to Kane's character Riley working at a Beer Garden, Bilodeau corrected himself, “A lot worse off!”
The cast also gave us the scoop on what fans could expect from the show’s fourth season, set to start on January 14th.
Kane said, “Danny is on his way to Paris. Ben and Riley are diving in head first into a relationship and it’s really fun," while Mowry added, “I think each season we just dive deeper into who these people are. I think that’s why people love the show, because they really get a sense of who these characters are.”
Although Theler is a professional hockey player on the hit show, Bilodeau insists that he would, “whoop him in the ice skating rink!”
And how did Theler respond? He agreed!
When asked if he is as good on the show as he is off when it comes to ice-skating he said, “No, the thing on the show is all fake. I’m on rollerblades… I’ve got two strides and it’s over!”
His on-screen mom Peterson quipped, “What if the New York Rangers recruiter was watching right now? You should just say yes you’re going to kill it!”
