Heartbreaking! Catelynn Lowell Reveals Plans Discussing Mental Illness With Daughter Novalee
Catelynn Lowell plans on being just as honest with her daughter, Novalee, as she is on Teen Mom OG!
In a bonus clip, Cate opened up about how she plans on discussing her mental illness battles with her daughter in the future. "Honestly, I feel like the only thing I want Nova to know about mental illness period is, if you are started to feel a different way, extreme emotions and like different thoughts and stuff, that it's okay to be honest and say you are feeling that way and not to feel like you're crazy because that's what I used to tell myself all the time, that I was crazy," she explained.
As seen on the reality show, Cate struggles with mental illness and decided that it was best she checked herself into a rehab facility to seek help for 30 days. She continued, "If you are feeling certain things or if things are extreme, it's okay to feel them it's just how you work through it and you know you have to come to a realization that it's going to be over, you know, you feel like sometimes it's going to be forever in that moment."
