The real royal wedding – King of the North Jon Snow and his wildling bride Ygritte are finally getting their happy ending! Well, it’s more like the real-life actors Kit Harington and Rose Leslie getting their happy ending, but details schmetails.
The Game of Thrones stars, who met on the HBO show and played on-screen lovers for two seasons, are set to say “I do” on Saturday, June 23.
According to The Sun, Kit and Rose’s nuptials will take place at a castle (which just so happens to be Rose's childhood home) in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Of the 80 guests who are said to be invited to the Hollywood affair, Kit and Roses's GOT co-stars Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner and Peter Dinklage were already spotted arriving at Aberdeen Airport on Friday, June 22.
Back in October 2017, while appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show, Kit said he reached out to one of the GOT’s producers to let him know that the show’s filming schedule would have to be adjusted for his “I dos.”
“I rang him up and I said, ‘I’m getting married and it’s your fault actually’... I think for the final season he is so stressed that he’s reached that peaceful level,” Kit joked. “I was like, ‘You need to factor in a Game of Thrones wedding by the way.’ They the cast have all got to be there so the whole thing has got to shut down.”
In addition to the couple’s A-list guest list, Kit and Rose also solidified Mumford & Sons to perform for their special day. (Talk about wedding goals!)
While the theme of the lovebirds’ wedding is under lock and key, Kit made it clear that his nuptials will definitely not be Game of Thrones inspired.
“No. There is absolutely no chance of me convincing Rose of that," he said.
