Fans BASH Duggars For Flaunting Luxurious Lifestyle
Are the Duggar’s flashing their ostentatious lifestyle? Some Duggar fans seem to think so! After the family was spotted arriving to Rockford, Illinois on their private plane, on Sunday, August 20, many of the family’s followers had a lot to say about their fancy mode of transportation.
As previously reported, the Duggars flew to Rockford to attend a church service. And while only a quarter of the clan was in attendance the family arrived into town in style, aboard their own aircraft, which seemed to rub a few people the wrong way.
“If they can afford a plane they can afford to support Jill & family in South America – rather than asking for donations from people who are less affluent,” one commenter wrote on Duggar Family News: Life Is Not All Pickles And Hairspray, a Duggar fan site.
“They have three planes, yet Jana’s their slave maid and childcare. If they can afford three planes, they can afford to pay Jana and provide a house for her,” wrote another.

While other fans simply called the family hypocrites, not for owning a plane, but for owning a plane and still asking for donations (seemingly referencing Jill Duggar’s mission trips, and Joy-Anna Duggar’s public wedding registry)
“They are within their rights to own a plane. However, it's awfully hypocritical, and in my opinion immoral as well, to then have your child solicit donations for a "missions" trip or to publically post a link to a wedding or baby registry (knowing full well your fans will send you stuff),” the follower wrote. “They are wealthy and should not be soliciting money or gifts from anybody. Ever. They are disingenuous, greedy, fame hungry and poor examples of Christians.”
