Jamie Lynn Spears Steps Out To Honor Sister Britney At Radio Disney Music Awards
Jamie Lynn Spears’ life is finally getting back to normal!
Since her daughter Maddie Aldridge’s terrifying near-death ATV accident in February, the country singer has been focused on her eight-year-old’s health and recovery. But on Saturday, Jamie took time out from mom life to celebrate someone else very important in her world — her big sister, Britney Spears!
In an unannounced appearance, Jamie surprised both fans and her sister when she showed up on stage at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards to present Britney with the first-ever Icon Award.
According to E! News, the award recognizes “a distinguished artist whose career transcends popular culture and whose music is loved by generations of Radio Disney fans."
But Jamie didn’t just present Britney with the award — she also performed during a medley of her big sister’s hits! Hosts Kelsea Ballerini and Sofia Carson, along with Hailee Steinfeld, were in the midst of singing Brit’s hit “Till the World Ends,” when Jamie joined them on stage, much to the crowd’s delight.
