John-David Duggar & Abbie Burnett Are Engaged —Hear From The Happy Couple!

John-David Duggar is engaged!

The 28-year-old pilot announced his engagement to Abbie Burnett on Wednesday, July 25, in a TLCMe video.

“Yep, it’s official we are engaged,” John gushed as he showed off Abbie’s engagement ring. “We’ve been ready for this step for a little while, but it was really just that I had a lot of things I wanted to get done to make it really special."

“He succeeded,” Abbie interjected. “We are now looking forward to planning a wedding so that we can get married.”

The couple’s engagement news came just one month after they announced their courtship.

“Abbie and I are just so excited, we’ve known of each other for several years,” John told Us Weekly at the time. “We fell in love very quickly and it’s been a wonderful journey thus far.”

The second oldest Duggar and his twin sister Jana have defied family odds for years as the twin’s younger siblings entered courtships/wed in their teens or early 20s.
