Kristen Bell Proposes To Dax Shephard Following SCOTUS Gay Marriage Ruling!

It's not just the LGBT community who is celebrating the Supreme Court's landmark ruling on gay marriage!

Kristen Bell proposed to her fiancé and baby daddy, Dax Shephard, following the historic announcement Wednesday that gay people will be allowed the same Federal marriage benefits as their heterosexual counterparts.

In addition, the Supreme Court ruled against California's controversial Prop 8, which banned same-sex marriage in the state.

Obviously, Kristen and Dax are not a gay couple—however, they had vowed not to wed until gay marriage was legal in their home state in support of their same sex couple friends.

"@daxshephard1 will you marry me? Xo #marriageequality #loveislove" the actress tweeted Wednesday morning.

Shepard, 38, and Bell, 32, have been engaged since 2009 and have a three-month-old daughter together, Lincoln.

And, Kristen and Dax aren't the only couple in marriage mode!

Melissa Etheridge announced on CNN that she and her partner Linda Wallem are getting married.
