LGBT activist Laverne Cox, the first transgender person to grace the cover of Time, has some sweet words for a bullied child (and her reaction is precious) and shares some beautiful insight in these behind-the-scenes videos of her photo shoot.

"The reality is I don't represent the entire transgender community," she says. "There's multiple experiences and multiple relationship to one's identity and so it's really about listening to individuals in terms of how the define themselves and describe themselves and to take people at their word."
