Mel B Makes Secret Calls To Baby Daddy Eddie Murphy After Horrible Split

Mel B and Eddie Murphy did not have the best end to their relationship, as he initially denied paternity of their child, Angel. But now, the former Spice Girl claims they have a respectful relationship, and it may be a lot more than that!

A source told OK! exclusively that she reached out to her ex to enlist his support in her vicious custody battle with Stephen Belafonte. As readers know, Mel B and Stephen have split up after she filed for divorce alleging he abused and cheated on her.

Stephen wanted access to all of their children, including regular contact with Angel, which is the last thing Mel B wanted. In fact, his request “infuriated” Mel, who enlisted Eddie to step in and block it.

An insider says, “For all her issues with Eddie in the past she’s confident he’ll agree with her that Stephen has no rights to their kid.”

She has another motive for calling the comedian too. “She’s hoping it will lead to a peace between her and Eddie, which she’s craved for years. Sure, she’s resentful he denied Angel was his but a lot of water’s under the bridge and after the hell she’s been through with Stephen anyone’s easier to deal with in her eyes by comparison,” added the source.

And she got her wish, well the first one at least. The judge in the case denied Stephen access to his stepdaughter, according to E! arguing the courtroom does not "have the jurisdiction to grant visitation with the punitive step child."
