In a break from all of the drama flicks set to hit theaters this fall, St. Vincent provides viewers with a heartfelt and hilarious look into the life of a young boy who turns to his cynical neighbor for friendship.
When Oliver’s parents divorce, he and his mother Maggie (Melissa McCarthy) move next door to lost war veteran Vincent (Bill Murray). Agreeing to watch Oliver after school, Vincent acts as a mentor to the young boy, as he bonds with him through bar visits and horse track races.

In the comical clip, Maggie finds her son mowing a dirt patch when she picks him up from Vincent’s house.
“Why is he mowing your dirt patch?” Maggie asks as Vincent replies, “I’m showing him how the world works. You work, you get paid, you can drink.”
St. Vincent opens in theaters Oct. 24.
