MTV Announces Reboots For ‘The Real World,’ ‘Made’ & ‘Daria’
‘90s babies you might want to sit down for this one -- MTV just announced that they’re bringing back not one, not two, not three, but four of its old-school TV shows! (yes, old MTV is coming back!)
On Thursday, June 21 the Music Television Network revealed that they’re working on reboots for Daria, Aeon Flux, Made, and The Real World.
In a move to seemingly bring back their millennial viewership, the network launched MTV Studios, which will focus on selling and developing the reboots as well as a few new shows.
“MTV has the biggest collection of hit youth franchises that spans more than three decades of content and over 200 titles, part of which have fueled our resurgence,” MTV’s president, Chris McCarthy, told Variety. “With MTV Studios, we are for the first time ever opening up this vault beyond our own platforms to reimagine the franchises with new partners.”
Amongst the new show’s slated to arrive on MTV are The Valley -- said to be the new version of The Hills -- and Straight Up Ghosted, which will focus on people confronting those that have ghosted them.
