Oscar Pistorius Murder Trial Day 15: The Prosecution Rests Their Case
The Oscar Pistorius murder trial continued today, with a further examination of the private text messages between Pistorius and the girlfriend he fatally shot, Reeva Steenkamp. While the defense tried to reframe the messages as loving, the prosecution officially rested their case.

Pistorius grew emotional once again as his affectionate texts with Steenkamp were read aloud to the court. One included a selfie of Steenkamp wearing a hooded sweatshirt, which Pistorius complimented. She signed off with "Xxx." In late January 2013, they both said how much they missed each other. Steenkamp was dead just weeks later.
