Pregnant Eva Longoria Tells All On Her Career — & How Things Will Change When Her Baby Arrives!

Eva Longoria is a busy woman! In an exclusive interview with OK!, the former Desperate Housewives actress revealed how she’s balancing work and motherhood ahead of the impending arrival of her first child, a boy, who’s due in June!

“I was always very driven,” Eva told OK!, noting that she used to work 16 to 18 hours a day when she first started out in the entertainment business.

Even when she found success on Desperate Housewives, Eva said she “never stopped learning, studying, furthering myself.” She even got a master’s degree in Chicano studies in 2013.

These days, Eva is still acting, as well as producing, directing, designing a clothing line, and running the Eva Longoria Foundation, which provides U.S. Latinas with educational and entrepreneurial aid.

The 43-year-old is currently promoting her latest film, Overboard, which co-stars Anna Faris as Kate, a single mom of three. “Kate is a single mom with three kids and five jobs—that’s something America and the world can identify with,” Eva explained. “You want her to succeed. You cheer for her. That’s my mother, and that’s me, in a way. We happen to be Latinos, but we are also trying to make the best of the American dream.”

In addition, the mom-to-be is working on a new TV show. “I am producing a pilot right now in Miami, called Grand Hotel, with yet another fantastic Latino cast,” she shared. “Then I will concentrate on my baby, who’s due in June.”

Eva is expecting her baby boy with husband José Bastón, who she wed in 2013. “He’s the best human being I know,” she gushed.

As for the baby’s name, Eva wouldn’t say, but she did let OK! know, “I can’t wait to be a mom!”
