'The Real Housewives Of New York City’ Cast Dish On The New Season!
The Real Housewives of New York City accomplished something quite big recently, as the show celebrated its 10th year of being on the air (can you believe that we were introduced to these ladies a decade ago?).
We caught up with them at the show's premiere party in NYC last week, where they reflected about their time on the popular reality franchise and their future.
“I’m only twenty, I started when I was ten!” joked Ramona Singer, who is the only cast member to appear as a main housewife for all ten seasons. Dorinda Medley, who joined the show in season 7, also got in on the humor of it all, saying “We’re like a good old soap opera… we’re like General Hospital!”
The ladies were asked where they see themselves in ten years in relation to the show being on for that same amount of time. “Oh my gosh, you know me, I like to live in the moment!” exclaimed Sonja Morgan. “Ten years from now… maybe sitting in France by a pool?” Ramona had romance on the brain when it came to her future. “I have no idea… hopefully settled down and madly in love!”
Dorinda’s thoughts on her future include potentially resembling a legendary actress. “Hopefully I will have found a very good plastic surgeon by then, and I'll look like Jane Fonda.” As for Tinsley Mortimer, who joined the show last season, what she wants for her future is similar to what Ramona wants. “I would really hope I was married, and had a baby, those are big goals… I got two there!”
OG housewife Luann de Lesseps has entertainment on her mind in regards to where she sees herself in a decade from now. "I see myself on a cabaret stage in ten years, absolutely, and hopefully with a nice gentleman sitting in the audience watching me in awe.” Carole Radziwill, who joined in season 5, isn’t as optimistic about her own future. “I might be dead, I don’t know," she joked.
So what has been the cast’s favorite moment from RHONY over the past ten years? “Probably the times I get into a little mischief with Ramona,” Sonja revealed. Ramona echoed a similar sentiment about her BFF. “Probably when I went to Morocco and Sonja knew I was a little upset and I was unhappy, so we snuck into where all the beautiful designed costumes were, and I was flapping in one of them!” Luann had the African country on her mind as well regarding her favorite moment, saying “Almost dying on a camel, that was fun!”

Finding love was the answer to that question for both Carole and Tinsley. “When I met Adam (Kenworthy), that was amazing, that was so fun," exclaimed Carole. “I met my boyfriend (Scott Kluth) from a blind date, from Carole, thanks!" Tinsley said.
Dorinda’s was definitely one of the most iconic moments from RHONY when she had her meltdown in The Berkshires during the 8th season. “I gotta say, I love ‘I made it nice!’ Everywhere I go in the world, people yell that to me!”
