'Real Housewives Of Dallas' Star Stephanie Hollman Reveals She Attempted Suicide

Real Housewives of Dallas lived up to its name when Stephanie Hollman got real and opened up about a prior suicide attempt.

While sitting on a couch with her mother who looked visibly uncomfortable with this trip down memory lane, Stephanie shared her story.

“I was with a guy who didn’t make me feel like a worthy person. I never felt pretty enough. I never felt good enough. I was always judged,” she said.

She then explained that the breakup caused her to become totally isolated and lose her social circle. “We broke up and it was like, I lost my friends. And I just couldn’t handle it.”

Before recalling the tragic event she paused to collect herself. “Sorry, I don’t talk about this,” she told audiences.

She recalled, “I remember going to the bathroom and finding a bottle of pills. And I remember taking them all, laying down in my bed. My mom was home, so I stumbled into her room and told her what I had done, and then she called the ambulance.”

And though Stephanie told her mother that she doesn’t talk to people about her suicide because people enjoy “pretty packages in life,” she credited fellow RHOD cast mate LeeAnne Locke for providing her with the safe space she needed to share her story. LeeAnne has previously come forward about her own struggles with suicide.
