‘Rob & Big’ Star Big Black Dead At 45
Christopher “Big Black” Boykin, star of the MTV hit show Rob and Big, has died.
Big, who starred opposite of his best friend and professional skateboarder Rob Dyrdek on the reality show, passed away on Tuesday morning from a heart attack, according to PEOPLE.
“MTV is deeply saddened to learn the news of Christopher 'Big Black' Boykin's passing,” MTV said in a statement. “He was a long time and beloved member of the MTV family and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this time.”
Big’s co-star and partner and crime, Rob, also released a statement on Instagram, captioning a playful photo of the duo: “My heart is broken. I don't want to write this post. I don't want to believe that this is reality. I am so thankful for you. We truly were brothers that lived an unexpected unforgettable adventure. I just can't fathom that it would end so suddenly. You will forever be in my heart.”

The lovable reality star, who was also Rob’s bodyguard, appeared on the show with his bud from 2006 to 2008 as it followed the two’s hilarious and random adventures together.
Big subsequently appeared on Fantasy Factory, Ridiculousness and Guy Code.
The former reality star is survived by a nine-year-old daughter, Isis Rae Boykin.
