
Sofia Vergara Opens Up About Her Battle with Thyroid Cancer

Sofia Vergara was diagnosed with thyroid cancer when she was 28-years-old. Shocked? So are we! The Modern Family actress underwent surgery in 2000 to remove her thyroid and is on medication ever since to keep her condition under control. Sofia is speaking out about her condition because she hopes to empower women all over the world to be proactive about taking care of themselves, especially when it comes to cancer. Sofia is the spokeswoman for a hypothyroidism campaign called Follow the Script.
