After a viral video launched him to national fame in less then a week, Ted Williams' hit a bump in the road Monday when he was picked up by police at the hotel he was staying at in Hollywood. Now, Ted is quickly learning the fallout of superstardom, opening up about his police run-in.

He went from being homeless on the streets of Columbus, Ohio to Tinseltown in a flash, thanks to the discovery of his golden radio voice on YouTube; however, Ted's time in the spotlight is not celebrated by everyone, causing some hard feelings with his family.

"Fists got to flying, none of which were mine," Ted told Entertainment Tonight of the altercation with his daughter that led to the police responding to the disturbance. "In the process... I got scratched on my face."

"My daughter hit me," Ted told reporters as he exited jail. "It was just a misunderstanding."

His daughter Janey shares her take with Dr. Phil this week on his talk show, and her recollection of the night's events are a bit different then her father's account.

"He said, 'You, you fat expletive,' and when he said that, I just got angry," Janey reveals.

"He's consumed at least a bottle of Grey Goose a night, at least. That's not including the Coronas he orders, that's not including Budweisers he orders, that's not including the other alcohol, the wines. He drinks — heavily," Janey claims of her father's Janey drinking problem, suggesting he needs rehab for his vices.

Ted is very open about his past battles with drug and alcohol addiction; however, the overnight success — who has been on a slew of talk shows — has claimed he is now clean and plans to turn his life around now that he has been given a second chance.

Both Ted and Janey were briefly detained by the L.A. police department Monday night following their altercation at the Renaissance hotel in Hollywood. After an investigation, police determined no crime was committed by either party and no charges were issued.

Ted has nine children — six daughter and three sons — who are beginning to come back into his life.
