Kara DioGuardi may not be ready to speak to the press about her current American Idol situation , but her father Joe DioGuardi is more than ready.

“Would you believe she did not hear – and still has not heard – anything?” Joe said while appearing on Capital Tonight in NYC earlier this week.
“She read it the way you did and I did. In fact, her disappointment is that that’s the way she’s being treated and she feels that’s not proper,” he explained. “I think what they’re trying to do is create a lot of buzz, like they did with Paula Abdul. They’re trying to reformat the thing.”

However, that dad said it could be a blessing in disguise.
“But Kara has a very deep career in music… she’ll be fine,” he added. “Does she want to do it another year? I think so. But, she just got married, and she’d like to have a family. So maybe, this is a good opening for her too… She has plenty of options.”
