Whitney Houston's Lesbian Lover Has Been Confirmed
After more than four decades of speculation, Whitney Houston's lesbian romance with her personal assistant Robyn Crawford has been confirmed! Crawford's father told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview that he knew they were lovers.
“I knew 40 years ago, we all knew,” Dennis Crawford, 79, confessed to Radar. “I saw them together.”
Dennis said that he'd seen them holding hands and kissing, and he was accepting of the two women's relationship.
“When she told me, there was nothing I could do about it except love her,” he said.
Robyn’s father wasn't the only one who knew, either. Houston’s mom, Cissy Houston knew about the secret affair, as well, according to Dennis, despite continuing to openly deny that her daughter dated a woman.
“She knew about the relationship with my daughter 25 years ago," Dennis admitted. "Why she would deny it, you have to ask her."
Whitney’s cousin, singer Dionne Warwick, was also in on the secret. “Dionne grew up with them, and knew about it too,” Dennis said.
Radar previously reported that the superstar’s bodyguard and friend Kevin Ammons said Robyn and Whitney were "inseparable" in the new documentary, Whitney: Can I Be Me.
“Robyn provided a safe place for her…in that Whitney found safety and solace,” Whitney’s stylist Ellin Lavar said in the film.

Her former bodyguard claimed Whitney and Robyn ended things when Whitney’s husband Bobby Brown entered the picture, leading to her tragic downward spiral leading up to her overdose in 2012.
Bobby also confirmed the rumored lesbian romance in 2016, and even said he wished Robyn had remained in Whitney’s life to keep her out of trouble.
Robyn left her job in 2000, after being Whitney's personal assistant since 1979, and the pair never spoke again, according to Robyn.
