Aretha Franklin Tells Fans She Feels Great!

In her first interview since falling ill and canceling her concerts, Aretha Franklin wants fans to know she's doing great after an undisclosed surgery on Dec. 2.

The Queen of Soul talked to JET Magazine to let everyone know she is "feeling great and coming along." Her illness is still a mystery ever since she abruptly canceled all appearances through May and dodged questions about battling pancreatic cancer. "I don't have to talk about my health with anybody other than my doctors. The problem has been resolved."

We do know that after she experienced a very hard pain in her side in Toronto, Aretha immediately called the doctors. She chalked it off to pain from a recent colonoscopy but the doctor disagreed. "He said, 'Miss Franklin, whatever it is it is not from the colonoscopy. You need to come home and have a CAT-scan." And that she did!
