Peaches Geldof, the writer and socialite daughter of Bob Geldof, was found dead today in her home in Kent. She was 25, and leaves behind two young children.
Geldof’s cause of death is currently unknown. In a statement, the Kent Police said, “At this stage, the death is being treated as an unexplained and sudden.” Geldof posted ten adorable photos and videos of her babies and their Easter set-up in the last 24 hours, with none of them providing any clues about the circumstances leading to her shocking passing.
The second daughter of Irish singer and activist Bob Geldof, Peaches Geldof began contributing to Elle magazine at age 15, later writing for Nylon, Telegraph, and the Guardian. She also presented on television. She was married to musician Thomas Cohen, and they had two sons under age 2. In a statement, father Bob said:
“We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is. Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken.”
