Chris Daughtry "Hurt" Over Lawsuit From Former Band Mates

Chris Daughtry is offended by his former band mates after three of the Absent Element group members have opted to sue the American Idol winner over royalties.

Radar Online reports that Ryan Andrews, Scott Crawford and Mark Perry filed a lawsuit in North Carolina against Chris on Thursday.

The petitioners claim that they deserve royalties because they helped compose and collaborate on some of the 32-year-old’s solo hit singles like “Home."

“I am very hurt by these false accusations,” Chris responded to the complaint on Friday. He added, “The songs listed in this lawsuit were written solely by me and no one else and at this time, I have no further comment."
