Cory Monteith’s tragic passing has put a spotlight on drug and alcohol addiction and the demons those suffering from the disease face on a daily basis. While the Glee star has left us far too soon, there were several charitable organizations Cory supported in an effort to help others get their lives on track. A free performing arts program for young people in downtown Vancouver, Project Limelight not only fosters an artistic environment, participant rehearse a full-length theatrical production culminating in professional stage performance to show they’ve set a goal and achieved it. In the clip below Cory talks about the power of the organization.

• Chrysalis

Helping those in need with a path to self-sufficiency, Chrysalis is a non-profit providing the necessary resources and support for homeless and low-income individuals to find and retain employment.

• Virgin Unite

Putting issues like youth homelessness, unemployment and health and environmental crises at the forefront, Virgin Unite works to find business-based solutions to these global problems. Below Cory talks about his involvement with Virgin Unite.
