Michael Lohan Swears Lindsay Lohan Was Sober During Hit and Run Arrest

Sure, Lindsay Lohan may have hit a pedestrian, left him with banged up knee and fled the scene, but proud papa Michael Lohan says his oldest daughter will get off the hook in this latest hit and run debacle.

“From what we know now, she will be completely exonerated," he told a newssite. "They tested her and she wasn’t drinking."

He seconded this again once when RadarOnline.com informed him Michael was the first person she asked to speak with after the arrest, which seems curious knowing their troubled past.

“SO happy that Lindsay had confidence in me! I love her; I will always be there for her," he said. “I am happy that she is away from other people and was NOT drinking last night!”

After being booked at around 2:30 am, she was released from jail with a desk ticket.

Speaking of the Lohans and booze, it was reported Dina and Lindsay had a boozy birthday, celebrating the spacey matriarch's 50th in Long Island last weekend.
