Beyoncé is the epitome of elegance, beauty and all things fierce. But even Queen Bey's luscious locks aren’t immune to a questionable hair day, or two.

Her latest coif crisis came in the form of a new hair style, featuring a super-short bang, she debuted while vacationing in Europe with her husband Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy. Beyoncé, who is known to switch up her hairdos fairly often, had previously been on a hair high. But the Beyhive is now buzzing as fans around the world express their detest for our Queen's new do.

At the opening night of Julius Caeser in New York City back in 2005, Beyoncé’s hair was just a little too curly-licious for us babe. Bey got an “A” for her effort. But her curls received an “F” for being flat and lacking the body needed to pull off such an overwhelming amount of spirals.

While promoting her second studio album B-Day in 2007, Beyoncé brought art to life when she started rocking the beehive from her album cover. Most fans were down for the messy updo and curled bangs. But it wasn’t an unanimous hit among the Queen’s court of hair-proval.

The day of the 2007 Grammy Awards wasn’t the easiest for Beyoncé. She was sick the night of the show and still had to perform her hit ballad Listen during the broadcast. As expected, our unfailing Queen slayed her performance. But her side swept waves were another case.

Most fans felt the hairstyle looked a little off and didn’t meet its Grammys night potential.

Beyoncé’s first struggle bang, which eerily mimics her current do, came in her 2009 video for the song Why Don’t You Love Me. The 50’s themed video featured several interesting looks, the most eye-catching being Bey’s V-shaped bang. Thankfully, her gorgeous cat eye and crimson red pout made up for the cut.

When she reemerged from her chambers of faboulousness after the birth of her daughter Blue Ivy, Beyoncé gave a host of hairstyles a try. Some were hits, like the half ponytail she wore to a Brooklyn Nets basketball game with Jay-Z in February 2012. But the top knot and bang combo she debuted later that year looked a little awkward.

Many said the bang made the style too fussy. And Bey eventually remixed the do by tossing the bang to the left — a change that everyone welcomed.

Beyoncé caused weaves to knot and wigs to drop when she chopped off her hair into a edgy pixie cut during the summer of 2013. She showed off the “Cut Heard Around the World” on her Instagram as she prepared to take a break from the U.S. leg of her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.

The majority of fans protested the cut, questioning how the hairflip guru would be able to sling her limited length. But around a week and a half after she cut her hair, Bey transitioned into a longer bob, quieting any worries about the removal of her tour hairography.

The meme above basically sums up the overall reaction to the ramen noodle realness Beyoncé served us at the 2014 Grammy Awards. Her bob, which looked to be dripping wet, was all anyone could talk about after she opened the show with Jay-Z. And it was an unfortunate distraction, seeing that the performance was an adorable moment for the couple.

Thankfully, this look was a one-time offense for Bey.

After snatching edges across the world with the surprise release of her fifth studio album Beyoncé, Queen Bey decided to do a little protective styling of her own as she entered the summer months.

Bey has rocked some lovely box braids, cornrows and micro braids during her career. But the thigh-length, side-braided cornrows she stepped out with in May of 2013 left many fans underwhelmed.

Beyoncé embodied regal splendor in the promo photos for the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour in 2013. Her tousled 18th century hairstyle wouldn’t be the most lauded look for a modern-day style icon. Yet she proved that even when reliving the dramatic coifs of the past, Queen Bey’s greatness still gleams through!

Yes, she’s indeed had some hairdo hits and misses. But despite her less than flawless hair moments, Beyoncé’s fierceness never falters!
