Tatum, now 35, was a competitive bodybuilder at Tampa Catholic High School during the time this photo was taken for a competition in 1998!
The college dropout—he got a college scholarship at Glenville State College for football—later became a stripper, which he has been open about since becoming famous.
However, he did not make bank as a stripper and revealed that he didn’t make a ton of money while he was 19.

"On a good night, I made 150 bucks. On a bad night, 70 bucks — even 50 at times,” he said.

Channing’s past was a secret for his family until 2010 when his dad found out he worked as a stripper watching The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2010.
"We were walking together, and my dad said: 'Why? You didn't need the money. We always provided,'" Tatum told The Hollywood Reporter. "I told him it had nothing to do with him. That was my road. That was the road I had to take."
In the same interview, Tatum, now a father to 2-year-old Everly, also recalled his worst experience as a stripper.
"One time, while giving a woman a lap dance the lady goes, 'Oh my God! Look at you! You remind me of my nephew!' -- and then grabs me," he said. "It hit me like a hand grenade. It was like tick, tick, tick, boom: She's grabbing my butt and saying, 'You remind me of my nephew.'"
