Days after fans noticed Javi Marroquin and Briana DeJesus’ flirty exchanges on Twitter, the Teen Mom 2 star is setting the record straight on his relationship status. Although Javi confirmed last month he was dating Southern beauty Lauren Comeau, his Twitter behavior had fans wondering if the pair had already called it quits. When asked by RadarOnline.com if he was still seeing Lauren, Javi confirmed the two are still a couple. However, Javi admitted life in the public eye isn’t always easy for him and Lauren.
“Everything being so public is hard for her,” Javi explained. He previously deleted photos of Lauren from his Instagram to protect her privacy, but the move drew unwanted attention. “I think I made it worse,” he said to OK! exclusively at the time.
It doesn’t help that the couple is long distance, either. Javi is based in Maryland, while Lauren lives in Charleston, SC. “Distance isn’t ever easy,” Lauren previously told Radar. “But we have a lot planned and busy schedules in between so I think we’ll handle it well.”

Javi re-fueled split rumors when he retweeted the quote, “These days it’s hard to meet women, feels like my love life is finished.” Then he tweeted he’d be seeing Briana soon, which she retweeted with several kissing face emojis.
“Omg just get together already…ya know you want to! I see the way you smile when he’s around,” a fan replied to the tweet. Fans then even started coming up with couple nicknames for Javi and Briana, including “Javi-Ana.”
