Jennifer Garner Is Happy To Have Lindsay Shookus Deal With Ben's Alcohol Addiction

Jennifer Garner from the outside looking in has every right to be sad. She was married to Hollywood hunk Ben Affleck for ten years after meeting him in 2003 on the set of Daredevil. The movie may not have crushed the box office, but their romance certainly heated up. Even when they announced their split in 2015, they stayed united to a large extent for two years. They still attended church services and went to the farmer's market over the weekend with their children, but it was not enough to keep them together. Ben swiftly moved on to Lindsay Shookus, and has been smiling ever since, but so has Jen. And there's a good reason for it.
A source tells InTouch that the actress is simply over dealing with Ben's sobriety issues, and now, she doesn't have to worry about it.
"Of course, Jen worries about Ben's health because he is the father of her children, but she feels like she's done everything she can to help him over the years. It's Lindsay's turn."
As previously reported, Ben announced in March that he completed rehab for alcohol addiction. At the time, he wrote on Facebook, “I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I’ve dealt with in the past and will continue to confront. I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be. I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step.”

But just months later, Ben and Lindsay purchased bottles of alcohol while vacationing in Maine, according to reports.
"Jen is very surprised that Lindsay is drinking around Ben. But she feels that ultimately it's up to Lindsay how she wants to handle the situation," the source told InTouch.
