Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake doubled his chances of winning a 2014 Grammy award by releasing two albums within the deadline—Part 2 of The 20/20 Experience came out on September 30, the last day an album is eligible. That JT knows what he's doing, and I know that he's going to sweep the awards come January 26. Done deal.

Drake

Drake's Nothing Was The Same just made the cutoff by a week, and he's certainly going to be a top contender for a few trophies in the rap/R&B categories. I'm predicting at least a nod for Record of the Year for "Hold On We're Going Home."

Katy Perry

Despite breaking Billboard records and having ten number one singles, Katy Perry has never won a Grammy. Isn't that crazy? Prism won't be eligible as a whole since it came out in October, but I'm pretty sure "Roar" will get some love as a single on Grammys night.

Miley Cyrus

Miley's in the same boat as Katy in that her album, Bangerz, didn't make the cut-off. But "Wrecking Ball" has been one of the most highly-regarded songs of 2013 thus far, so a Song of the Year nod wouldn't be weird at all.

Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars' Unorthodox Jukebox came out at the very tail end of 2012, but I can almost guarantee that the album will get tons of love in 2014 and that "Locked Out of Heaven" and/or "Young Girls" will get some recognition in the pop and/or male categories.

Avicii True

Avicii's album, True and his single, "Wake Me Up," will for sure get some sort of recognition in the EDM categories, but if not, he could be a good contender for the Best New Artist Grammy too. Juuuust sayin'.

Robin Thicke

If you've listened to the radio even once this year, you've heard Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines." The album, which got released in July, hasn't gotten as much praise as the single has, but still. Robin's got it in the bag for at least a Record of the Year nod.

Lorde

Calling it—Lorde is to the 2014 Grammys as Adele was to the 2012 Grammys. This New Zealand teen released an EP late in 2012 and a full album just a few weeks ago, but her single, "Royals," will for sure get some notoriety on Grammys night.

True, Magna Carta Holy Grail was not the most critically-acclaimed of Jay-Z's records. But even if the entire album doesn't get a nod, "Holy Grail" will for sure get nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration with Justin Timberlake.

Taylor Swift

Yes, Taylor Swift's album Red seems like old news since it got released in November of 2012. Still, it's eligible for the awards. And it's Taylor Swift, who's won, like a dozen Grammys already. It could happen again.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis

Macklemore Same Love

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were the big winners at the 2013 MTV VMAs and November's American Music Awards. A Grammy is just a natural next step for these two.
