While Dean was able to redeem himself after his tragic one-liner (he became the season’s fan-favorite), the 26-year-old’s infamous line has come back to haunt him. The post, which has since been deleted, then went viral as many criticized Lauren’s problematic caption and Dean’s cosigning of it. And after fans began to bash the reality star, he took to Instagram to “apologize.”

"I would like to apologize for the other day when a caption and comment were posted that came across as insensitive," Dean captioned a photo of him at the Men Tell All special. "The last thing that was meant by any of that was to be disrespectful."

Are you buying Dean’s apology? Sound off in the comments!
