Can’t say we saw this coming! They’ve had some serious drama during the latest season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but things may be looking up for Claudia Jordan and Phaedra Parks during the ladies’ group trip to the Philippines.
In a preview clip from the Mar. 29 episode of RHOA, Jordan attempts to open up to Parks as they meet one-on-one for a meal. And for the first time during the season, Jordan goes into detail about the heartbreak she experienced during the breakdown of her marriage to her ex-husband.
Jordan tells Parks that her ex’s family “begged her not to do it,” but she ultimately chose to divorce him anyways. “It was just too much, and I had to do it,” Jordan revealed to Parks. When she goes on to ask Parks what her breaking point was in her failed marriage to Apollo Nida, though, the southern belle isn’t as willing to share.
“I’m not really going to discuss that with you,” Parks says bluntly. She added that she is “real private” and doesn’t “go around chatting with a lot of people” about her marriage troubles. “I just see this as a major trial. But I’ve got to surround myself with people who have my back,” Parks continues after assuring Jordan she doesn’t think she’s prying into her personal life. “It’s very tough, not because of me, but because it affects my kids.”

Parks eventually goes on to share all the worries she has for her and Nida’s sons, Dylan and Ayden, as Jordan listens intently. And though they don’t have a complete breakthrough, it’s nice to see the pair finally have a fairly shade-free conversation!
