Miley Cyrus shocked the world at the VMAs last night basically in the opposite way she did it last year. There was no tongue and no twerking—in fact, when it was her time to take the stage, she sat back down!

Instead, a homeless young man named Jesse accepted her award, introducing the world to a homeless youth center called My Friend’s Place. It’s a cause near and dear to Miley’s heart, a place she visited soon before the VMAs that’s located right near where she lives in LA.

It was a super bold move for her to make, and it was equally as classy. But the cause doesn’t go away right after Jesse stepped off the stage. Miley is continuing her involvement with the charity, posting the message above to her Facebook page. She’s even offering fans who donate to the charity a chance to win a trip to see her Rio!
