Aug. 23 2007, Published 6:00 a.m. ET
Contrary to online reports from earlier today saying that troubled pop star had left the country and that her children, one-year-old Sean Preston and 11-month-old Jayden James, were with their father , OK! can report that Brit is still at home in Los Angeles and has the kids with her.In fact, according to eyewitnesses, the beleaguered singer drove around the Beverly Hills area for hours with her children in the backseat of her Mercedes.Britney, along with her boys, who had been brought to her home earlier that morning, exited her gated community this afternoon and drove for two hours without stopping, eventually returning home at 6:30pm.She drove 20 miles north up the 101 freeway in rush hour traffic toward the community of Calabasas. 'The kids were in the back of the car and Britney just seemed to be driving aimlessly,' says an eyewitness tells OK! 'She was going up and down random streets in different neighborhoods.'Britney has been on similar driving sprees before, often wheeling around for dozens of miles, sometimes to pick up fast food. A source tells OK! she sometimes drives with the children to help them go to sleep.Today's Britney sighting follows reports that she had been seen at a restaurant in Antwerp, Belgium, after stopping to use the restroom. Also flying in the face of recent reports, Britney's sometimes manager Larry Rudolph, who many believe parted ways with Brit after he helped to arrange her visit to rehab in early 2007, visited the Toxic singer at her home yesterday. For the latest on Britney's custody battle, and her actual plans on fleeing the country, check out the new issue of OK!, on stands now.Photo: Wireimage.com
