Pregnancy stories are remarkable, and this one stands out as well. We are talking about Teyana Taylor who welcomed her second child with husband Iman Shumpert on Sunday, Sept. 6.
The 30-year-old NBA pro broke the news Monday on Instagram. He wrote: “At 3:28 am on Sept 6th 2020 Rue Rose decided that the baby shower thrown for her and mommy was too lit. She didn’t make the party, but she managed to make the next day her birthdate!!! Now…when we buy homes, we always find a bathroom with great energy… but not in a million years would you be able to tell me we’d deliver both of our daughters in a bathroom without the assistance of a hospital!”
The comment section of the Instagram post was flooded with positive comments as everyone wished the pair happy times.
“Our newest edition entered the world in the water and came out looking around and ready to explore! A healthy child. A little sister. Another daughter. Black love wins….again. Welcome babygirl…we love you!” continued the Illinois native.
The 29-year-old singer had announced her pregnancy in June as she showed off her baby bump in the music video for Wake Up Love.’

The new addition to their family wasn’t the only one who was born at home. Her first daughter, who was born in Dec. 2015, was also born in the bathroom and delivered by Shumpert himself.
For her first, Taylor took to Instagram to announce the news, writing that she came out as “a wonderful surprise to everyone.”
“Not knowing I was in labor until I felt her head … it took two ten count pushes with my fiancé playing Dr and she entered this world into his bare hands!” she added.
As a gesture marking the birth of their new daughter, the new father tied a pair of red headphones around the umbilical cord of his daughter.

“She opened her eyes right away, gazed into mine and never cried! He handed her to me wrapped in our bath towel and wiped her face for me to see what LOVE really is. She has blown Christmas away,” the actress wrote on Instagram.
With that, Taylor remarked that their family was complete.
Taylor had revealed before the birth of her second baby that she took steps to make sure that the delivery doesn’t take place on the bathroom floor.
Shumpert and Taylor tied the knot in 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio. Speaking of the wedding ring, Taylor said to Wendy Williams: “It’s worth more than a diamond.
“He’s a smart man. He’s like, if anything was to ever happen, that ring alone, you’re already set.’ I’m like, ‘Yaaas, I like your style!’”
