Israel Houghton looks to be absolutely smitten with his wife Adrienne Bailon.
The singer-songwriter recently opened up on his YouTube channel about how he got with The Real cohost after divorcing his ex-wife of 21 years, Melissa.
His passion about her resonated from the moment they had their first date, but there were complications that went along with that. It was speculated at the time that they were dating while he was still married, which they both had to deal with when their relationship was in the early stages.
"I knew she was the one... really on our kind of first real date," he admitted. "Our first real getaway together. It started a bit crazy, and it had a lot of chaos connected to it with paparazzi and whatnot. I had recently announced that I had been divorced even though I had been divorced for quite a while."
So, everybody was kind of speculating and saying different things and saying crazy things about her, at which point I just said, 'Hey listen. I'm happy to take one for the team, this is new. You can simply say 'Hey, I didn't know it was all of that.'"

Regardless of what people were saying, Adrienne stood by her man. "And she said, 'I was your friend before this happened, I'm your friend now and let's just power through it,'" he continued. "I think at that moment I knew, this is everything, and she is everything to me, and what, eight months later we were married."
Married they were in the City of Lights, Paris, in November of 2016. Looks like the next step in their marriage involves having a baby, as she recently revealed that she already has a nursery set up for their first child!
