A rising style star! One of the freshest faces to attend to 93rd Academy Awards, held Sunday, April 25 in Los Angeles at both the Dolby Theatre and Union Station, was Tony Award-nominated Broadway star Ariana DeBose.
Best known for her recent role as Alyssa Greene in Netflix’s The Prom and set to star as Anita in the Steven Spielberg adaptation of West Side Story, the actress walked the red carpet in a bold, one-shoulder orange draped Atelier Versace gown with sexy side cut-outs and a thigh-high slit.
Stuart Weitzman pumps and Harry Winston jewels completed her look.
She also flaunted a flawless, radiant complexion to compliment her glowing look while co-hosting ABC’s pre-show Oscars: Into the Spotlight. To get the glow, DeBose turned to celebrity makeup artist Carola Gonzalez on behalf of e.l.f. Cosmetics.
“Ariana has beautiful almond-shaped eyes, which made it the focus of my makeup today,” said Gonzalez. “I wanted her skin to look flawlessly radiant, with a sparkly eye, and a lip that complemented her skin tone and didn’t compete with the colors of the gowns. I wanted her to look like the star she is.”

STEP 1: After skin is moisturized and primed, apply Hydrating Camo Concealer ($6) to conceal any imperfections and highlight the under eye area.

STEP 2: Apply the new Camo CC Cream ($14) to create a hydrated, golden base with the Total Face Sponge ($5) for a silky satin finish. Carola loved this product as it makes the skin look flawless without being cakey and has the perfect balance of matteness without making the skin look flat.

STEP 4: For the eyes, use Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow in Copper Pop ($5). To create the look, apply the liquid glitter on the inner eyelid.
STEP 5: On the outer corners, apply Bite Size Cream and Sugar Palette ($3), using the darker brown shade to accentuate the outer edges of the eye and blend on the crease. Use the same eyeshadow and line the bottom lash line to connect the eye makeup.
STEP 6: Line the upper lash line with H2O Proof Eyeliner Pen in Jet Black ($6).
STEP 7: Line the lower water line with No Budge Precision Liner ($5).
