The White House Easter Egg Roll was sadly canceled for a second year in a row due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden will send thousands of commemorative Easter eggs to hospitals and vaccination sites, the administration announced.
In 2020, then-president Donald Trump and then-first lady Melania Trump were also forced to cancel the annual event as COVID-19 cases were beginning to ramp up.
Since we'll have to wait another year for another White House Easter Egg Roll, it got OK! thinking back to the sweet spring styles typically worn at the event.
One of our favorite looks came from Melania on April 2, 2018. At the 140th annual event on the White House's South Lawn, the brunette beauty braved the unseasonably cold temperatures and donned a $2,600 Burberry baby blue cashmere trench coat with black buttons.
She teamed the pastel outerwear piece with dark skinny jeans and black knee-high boots.
