Kid Cudi made a major fashion statement when he performed on Saturday Night Live on Saturday, April 10.
The 37-year-old paid tribute to Kurt Cobain wearing outfits reminiscent of ones the late Nirvana frontman previously rocked. First performing his hit song "Tequila Shots," the rapper sported a fuzzy green cardigan that looked similar to the one that Cobain famously wore during Nirvana's MTV Unplugged concert back in 1993.
He paired the familiar sweater with a t-shirt honoring late SNL cast member Chris Farley, who died in 1997.
But it was his second look that got the most attention. While performing his track "Sad People," Cudi wore a gender-bending spaghetti-strapped dress from the label Off-White, designed by Virgil Abloh. The floral frock was a nod to the one that the late musician made headlines for wearing on the 1993 cover of the magazine The Face.
Cudi's stint as the musical guest on SNL fell near the anniversary of the day Cobain died in 1994 at age 27.
