The 2013 MTV Video Music Awards Will Take Place in Brooklyn, New York! Get All the Details

Over the years, the MTV Video Music Awards have been held in tons of different cities—Manhattan, Los Angeles, even Miami—but this year's VMAs? For the first time ever, they'll be happening LIVE from Brooklyn, New York!

Maybe that doesn't sound too impressive upon first read, but the show will be broadcast from the Barclay's Center, which is a huge arena home to the Brooklyn Nets, and where others like Jay-Z, Rihanna and Lady Gaga have performed. And also? This is pretty historic because this year is the show's 30th anniversary AND it'll be the first time EVER that an annual awards show will take place in Brooklyn.

The show is happening on Sunday, August 25, 2013. No other details have been released yet like who's hosting, who's performing and who's nominated for a moonman, but if the 2013 edition are anything like previous VMAs telecasts, we're definitely going to be watching.
