The news doesn't come as a humongous shock, given the hot year he's been having. He's tied with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis for the highest number of VMA nominations this year, a whopping six nods, including Video of the Year.

But that's not all! Justin will also be receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which MTV explains celebrates "innovation and artistry in music video creation and impact." Past honorees include the Beastie Boys, Madonna, and ex, Britney Spears.
