It sounds like a complicated joke, but it really happened. A boy band member and a little person walk into Miley Cyrus' 21st birthday party—who nearly gets hit by a flying body? But One Direction member Liam Payne saved Calvin Harris from being hit by a little person at Miley's party, and it's no joke.

The 1D boy and British DJ/producer Calvin Harris were both present at Miley's blowout 21st birthday in Hollywood, as were a group of little people hired to recreate the birthday girl's infamous performance at the VMAs. But apparently some of the dancers also took flight—right in Calvin's direction!

"Big thank you to @Real_Liam_Payne for saving me from getting KO'd by a flying 'person of unusually short stature' tonight," Calvin tweeted. Other famous people are the party, who managed to escape without any bodily harm, included Kelly Osbourne, Emma Roberts, and Wiz Khalifa. Sounds like a blast!
