Abby Lee Miller of 'Dance Moms' Praised for Her Teaching Style By Former Student & Broadway Star

Abby Lee Miller says she makes kids into stars, and she definitely did just that with Kirsten Bracken Scott, a Broadway actress who surprised the Dance Moms star during her appearance on the Steve Harvey's talk show Tuesday, and publicly thanked Abby, whose teaching style is under consistent attack.
"Abby doesn't let you show up to class and stand in the back and play with your hair and think about what you're going to eat for dinner," Kirsten said. "When you're in her class, you are focused and you are working and you are putting in 150 percent. She really taught me an incredible work ethic that I really have carried throughout my life."
She then took Abby's hand and said thank you, and Abby teared up! It was a rare occasion to see Abby display an emotion other than frustration, and we must say, it was pretty awesome.

Kirsten also related a story about Abby taking her to an audition. "It was a Tuesday night, she refused to cancel classes, she taught all day," Kirsten said. "She threw us in her Escalade and we drove through the night, and I got to this audition at 8 a.m.—I booked my first Broadway show, and since then, I've been in a couple Broadway shows and it just—it keeps going."
This is certainly a win for Dance Moms fans who like Abby and her tough-as-nails approach. Also, Abby definitely has a fan in Steve, who said he loves the show and that people who think they will make it to the top easily are sadly mistaken.
