Adam Levine To 'Voice' Contestant: "Sadly You Have a Penis"

New reality singing competition The Voice has embarked on its second week of "blind auditions" and judge Adam Levine found a contestant in a situation he can relate to — sounding like a girl.

When the lead singer of Maroon 5 hit his button to address the performer, he was stunned at what he saw.

"I have so much to talk to you about," Adam explained. "It's gonna get a little weird for a second before it gets normal again. Don't be insulted by this. I thought you were a chick."

Adam did explain that he could relate to the contestant, because he has also been told he sounds like a female when he sings.

"I need a woman for my team and sadly you have a penis," Adam said bluntly.

But the singer wasn't offended, just glad to be chosen.

"You guys are gonna make a great couple," fellow judge Blake Shelton said of the pairing.
